Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup warm water 110°F
  • 1 cup milk scalded and cooled to warm
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • Additional melted butter for brushing

Method
 

  1. Activate Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
